Being famous as HARU, the past of YG as a dancing star is also becoming a topic these days..
New face YG who is in the spotlight recently by being selected as main character ' HARU'
in KBS2 2006 drama 'Hello God' .
He used to be actively known as ' GukChul ' [국철 ] stage name during the time with ex-famous dance group called O.P.P.A.
Hip-hop group O.P.P.A. who was popular with their 1st album 'Deathless Love' in 1997
was eventually disbanded after several reunion and changing of members.
After this, YG changed his path into becoming an actor by entering Seoul Art College[ 서울예술대학].
" i was eager to be an actor, so i asked for 'leave of absence' from school early last year
and focused on acting practice from 9am~11pm, for 9months such as breath control, swimming, exercise, reading scenarios, follow other people's act in movie and acting lesson "
Without any particular acting career, YG was had been chosen as main character for drama ' Hello God' , schedule to air 9th.
Presently ,YG is attracting viewers by playing a 27 year old HARU, who is mentally retarded with mental age at 7 years old with IQ of 65.
After going through surgery, he is later transformed into a genius with IQ of 180.
