Mission Possible: Kidnapping Granny K'
Feeble thief Do-beom, timid Geun-yeong and unemployed Jong-man are broke and desperate. The three awkward men scheme to kidnap Mrs. Kwon Sun-bun or ``Granny K,'' the rich owner of a big restaurant. But the old lady not only assists her kidnappers in getting her ransom money from her indifferent children, but raises the amount to 50 billion won.
Comedy guru Kim Sang-jin, director of hit comedies ``Attack the Gas Station'' (1999) and ``Kick the Moon'' (2001), creates a comical energy like no other in ``Mission Possible.'' Along with big laughs, the film offers loads of action complete with high-flying helicopters, fast trains and speeding cars.
Supporting actors from films like ``King and the Clown'' (2006), ``Public Enemy'' (2002) and ``Tazza: The High Rollers'' (2006) shine as the main cast. Veteran actress Na Moon-hee, who is enjoying a newfound peak in her career following a series of comical roles in TV dramas and sitcoms, dazzles the silver screen in her role as a wealthy but lonely mother trying to provoke the affection of her children.
This family comedy is in for lots of laughs but also sends out a message about family values.

YG: the film opened on September 13th, and so since then I've been busy with promotion, and passing time busily doing this and that.
YTN: The film 'Kidnapping Mz. Kwon' opened this Wednesday and it's receiving lots of love. What is it about?
YG: It's about 3 people who are trying to kidnap Mz. Kwon Soon-Boon, and the drama that arises from it. Na Mun-Hee teacher is very smart so even though we kidnapped her it's as if we're the ones getting kidnapped.
YTN: Yoo Geon, your role is one of the 3 sloppy kidnappers, right? What is he like?
YG: Mine is the role of 'Jong-Man' who is a 20 something bum, and who isn't very bright, but he is very opinionated, and stubborn in doing things his way, and lives life without much thought.
YTN : In comic films it seems there might be lots of NGs due to the hilarity. Especially since mz. Na Mun-Hee's great at ad lib. Please tell us about something that occurred that was funny.
YG: Teacher Na Mun-Hee, and everyone was so good at acting, instead of saying the NG was funny, it was fun all the time we were acting. The director is very funny, and the whole acting was fun

Big bright round eyes and tall nose, through his sturdy built, he often gets mistaken as mix-race.
Even from Caucasians in America, he was thought as mix-race. To prove he was 'Korean' he made a choice one summer and his skin color changed. As his skin tanned to brown under the sun, his Caucasian friends realized he was Asian.
Actor Yoo Geon (24) who has an attractive appearance is very Korean unlike his outter look.
After exchanging just a few words he is already joking and his warm manner wants you to share your thoughts.
His amiable behavior scents off that he is native more so even than the soybean paste soup.
Perhaps that is why it feels really natural for him to play the 20-something jobless Seo Jong-Man character in film "The Kidnapping Incident of Madam Kwon Soon-Boon." ( MISSION POSSIBLE: KIDNAPPING GRANNY K)
He wears jeans instead a suit, and he is a jobless bum who lives in reality instead of goals, and the image he sets off is not polished refinement, but rather a comic ruined person. "Actually this is a new venture for me too. This is first time acting comic. But after I did it I realized he resembles me a lot. His role is part of a 3-person team that kidnaps Madam Gwon Soon-Boon (Na Moon-Hee), as the youngest member who is their driver." He does whatever he wants with the orders given to him by his seniors and ruins things and has a lot of complaints. Yoo says, "with wardrobe of clothing he's never wore before" and "it is a project that helped me realize by awkward points."
Though Yoo Geon began his acting through 2006 KBS 'Hello Dear God,' he actually got a taste of the entertainment world in '99 as a rapper in the group 'OPPA.' And he went through a lot before his debut in entertainment.
After wrapping up his singing career he went against his parents to return to Korea to be an actor,
and while working odd jobs in clothing shops and restaurants, he groomed his dream of becoming an actor.
With the money he earned penny by penny he entered school and enrolled in a management company but was conned. He says, "Back then I didn't have a place to sleep, so I went to my friends' places, and it was to the extent that there are no neighborhoods in Seoul I didn't live in," and as he blushed around the eyelids he disclosed,
"When I think about it now I became an actor by my own making." Whether it is because of the difficult past, or because of the past times of loneliness, he says he is more comfortable infront of the camera than infront of people.
He said, "I am most happy and joyful the moment I act." "Even though I started acting against my parents, now I think that being happy in acting is my way of being filial. No matter how many times I go into filming, I am always happy in my heart."

Film actor Yoo Geon (24) expressed his strong interest in soccer by saying, "at times I look forward to enlisting in the army just so I can play all the soccer I want." With his new film "The Kidnapping Incident of Madam Kwon Soon-Boon (PD Kim Sang-Jin) set to open next month on the 13th, Yoo Geon was interviewed by Sports Seoul,
and disclosed, "No matter what happens, I need to sweat while playing ball in order to feel satisfied," and "my friends who are either discharged from the military or enlisting often tells me since I like soccer I will probably like army life." He then smiles as she says, "these days I often think that I should go to army for 1-2 years for the sake of soccer." "For computer games I play soccer, and for TV I usually watch soccer too" and even in regards to girlfriend he answers, "as long as she doesn't dislike me playing soccer on the weekends then it's fine." At present Yoo Geon plays on the celebrity soccer team 'Miracle'.
There is reason to believe that when Yoo Geon talks about going to army for soccer, that he is not joking.
4 years ago, he naturally gave up his American citizenship. He came to Korea in 1999 to be part of dance group OPPA, and upon its disbandment he returned to the U.S., to LA his hometown, and in February of 2002 he returned to Korea again despite his father's strong opposition. It was because he was determined to be an actor.
After cutting contact with his family, he began nurturing his dream of being an actor as he worked many sidejobs in restaurants, clothing shops, etc. At last his dream was realized last year through KBS2 miniseries 'Hello Dear God.'
In the process, to be part of Korean society, he needed to return his American citizenship. It was due to his firm determination for the future. Yoo Geon said, "In order to maintain American citizenship one needed to be physically there for set amount of time each year." "But I needed to pursue my acting dream, and seeing that I didn't really have money to buy airplane tickets (laughter) I didn't have the opportunity to go to America," and he proudly states, "they sent out report to cancel my citizenship but I don't at all regret my choice back."
Meanwhile, in "Madam Kwon Sun-Bun ~" Yoo Geon plays 'Jong Man' the youngest member of a kidnapping trio.
In the film, 'Jong Man' is a simple-minded but very stubborn character, who doesn't listen to anyone.
It is a character that resembles him in reality. He says, "the character in the film is a lot like me in that once he makes up his mind no matter what someone might say he goes on the path he wants to go on,"
and he adds, "in the future, I will focus solely on acting."

He came to Korea in 1999 to be part of dance group OPPA, and upon its disbandment he returned to the U.S., to LA his hometown, and in February of 2002 he returned to Korea again despite his father's strong opposition. It was because he was determined to be an actor.
After cutting contact with his family, he began nurturing his dream of being an actor as he worked many sidejobs in restaurants, clothing shops, etc. At last his dream was realized last year through KBS2 miniseries 'Hello Dear God.'

Yoo Geon said, "In order to maintain American citizenship one needed to be physically there for set amount of time each year." "But I needed to pursue my acting dream, and seeing that I didn't really have money to buy airplane tickets (laughter) I didn't have the opportunity to go to America," and he proudly states, "they sent out report to cancel my citizenship but I don't at all regret my choice back."
Meanwhile, in "Madam Kwon Sun-Bun ~" Yoo Geon plays 'Jong Man' the youngest member of a kidnapping trio.
In the film, 'Jong Man' is a simple-minded but very stubborn character, who doesn't listen to anyone.
It is a character that resembles him in reality. He says, "the character in the film is a lot like me in that once he makes up his mind no matter what someone might say he goes on the path he wants to go on,"
and he adds, "in the future, I will focus solely on acting."
